Ash Monga
CEO of IMEX Sourcing Services

Over seven years ago, Ash came to China to start his own importing services company – IMEX Sourcing Services. Having imported and sold products from China and India online while living in the UK himself, Ash is completely aware of the primary issues and obstacles importers are mostly encountering when sourcing from China. Understanding the value of his expertise and experiences to the industry, Ash put together a league of fully-bilingual Chinese project managers that is highly-experienced in sourcing, factory-manufacturing and importing. Through his company, Ash continuously focuses on managing import risks, reducing costs through strategic sourcing and optimizing the supply chain, using China-specific negotiation strategies.

Ash has been working with Chinese factories across a diverse range of industries all these years gaining insights into their working practices, production processes, challenges, and capabilities.

When asked how he’s doing in China, Ash has this to say:

” I’ve had an amazing experience here in China, a country bursting with opportunities. My business has given me and my team the chance to work with interesting clients from all corners of the world.”

Ash has been working with Chinese factories across a diverse range of industries all these years gaining insights into their working practices, production processes, challenges, and capabilities.

” Boredom? Not in this market. Never. We may be sourcing world-class kayaks on Monday, working with a startup company developing new technology products on Tuesday and helping a builder source fittings for a 50-story office building in New York on Wednesday.”

He has visited and continues to visit various factories and workshops in the remote corners of China in his quest to find the right suppliers for his clients, getting the best possible prices, and ensuring that quality control processes are in place. He has worked  with several clients to help them turn an “idea” into a prototype and eventually the end product, tediously going through all stages of the new product development process.

“It’s a give-and-take interaction that ultimately helps both sides understand each other’s needs. Ultimately, it’s about improving communications and building relationships so everyone wins.”
